Since our establishment some 30 years ago, Wandsworth Bereavement Service (WBS) has been dedicated to providing essential support to individuals in the London Borough of Wandsworth and beyond, who are navigating the challenging journey of bereavement.
Our mission is driven by the fundamental belief that no one should face these difficult times alone. Over the past three decades, WBS has been at the forefront of offering compassionate care and support to those in need.
Our ethos revolves around providing a safe space for individuals to express their emotions, find solace, and gradually navigate through their grief journey. Through our counselling and supportive services, we strive to alleviate the burden of loss and provide practical tools for coping and healing.
In recognition of our efforts, we were honoured to be selected as one of the Mayor’s Charities of the Year for 2022/23. This acknowledgment has reaffirmed our position as a trusted and respected organisation within the community.
In partnership with Wandsworth Council, we have established the Community Trauma Support Sercive – CTSS – to support those impacted by violent incidents in our borough. This is a pilot project between WBS and Wandsworth Council till December 2024, funded by the Violence Reduction Unit.
